Spring Snow

Inspired by the novel of Japanese writer Yukio Mishima the idea was a snow portrayal of a young woman (featuring Cassandra Marloye). By chance, I discovered that the lowest level of the Poelaert underground parking in Brussel was turned into a snow racing track by a local youth gang. They used powder from the massive industrial fire extinguishers of the parking lot to create the snow surface. And the powder really looks like snow, with tracks and shiny whiteness. The series is about the contrast of the abandoned darkness with the whiteness of the snow and the skin of the model.
