Thinking of Edward

The photo series 'Thinking of Edward' could be considered as a photographic homage to the American painter Edward Hopper who is a constant source of inspiration for my work. The beauty of the desolate unreality is highlighted by the powerful yet subtle usage of light and shadow. The characters are always alone, even if they are interacting with others. Just like with Hopper, the theme of the loneliness of the individual is key in my work. This series is still in development (model: Ulrike Panjaer).
